The Fundraising Module contains several valuable features.

Receive Contributions On-Line

You can set up your PolitiSoft.com account to receive contributions online via credit card or by electronic check through PolitiSoft.com. An online Contribution Guideline page allows you to provide detailed instructions to contributors that they must acknowledge they have read and complied with before they can submit their online contribution. The system automatically maintains a log of this important compliance step.

Send Out Fundraising Invitations Electronically

You can use our automatic invitation builder to easily send out fundraiser invites or solicitations to potential contributors via an email blast. We even provide you with templates to give your online invitations a professional look. Your supporters can simply click on a link in the email and will be taken directly to a screen for your fundraiser event or to your online contribution, where they can fill out the easy-to-use online form. The fundraiser event screen even includes a link for directions to the event.

The system automatically sends an email alert each time a contribution is received online. It’s not uncommon for alerts to begin coming in within a few minutes after you send out a fundraising email blast.

PolitiCheck.com members can also use their PolitiSoft.com account in concert with traditional paper invitations. When you register for PolitiSoft.com you’ll be asked for an easy to remember “P-Code” (e.g., Smith2006). By including this P-Code on your invitations (Contributions Accepted On-Line at PolitiSoft.com. Enter P-Code: Smith2006), your supporters can avoid the hassle of having to fill out the RSVP card and disclosure form, and finding a stamp, and can quickly contribute online. Repeat PolitiSoft.com contributors don’t even have to reenter their information.  Electronic contributions appear automatically in the Contribution Intake Queue. 

Campaign Contribution Compliance Module

Paper check contributions or in-kind contributions are entered manually.  Database input fields collect all information required by applicable regulations.
Preferences can be set to designate who has authority to accept a contribution.

Separate authority can be given to your campaign Treasurer or compliance person to decide whether additional information is required. If so, the contribution can be placed “on hold.” The system can automatically generate letters or emails requesting the missing information. The contribution remains on hold until the appropriate person lifts the hold. A reminder alert is issued for any contribution that remains on hold for 8 days so that a decision can be made either to accept or reject the contribution within 10 days as required by NJELEC regulations.

The system enables “thank you” letters to be generated automatically to the appropriate contributor, and contains easy to use boxes to enable to customized salutations and address information to personalize the correspondence.

Campaign Contribution Screen

All contributions can be viewed on the internal Campaign Contribution screen regardless of their status. Filters enable users to list only specific categories of contributions (e.g., “On Hold,” “Accepted,” etc.). Totals are quickly visible for any category to enable easy monitoring of the progress of fundraising efforts.

The system also enables your campaign to automatically post online for the public to view on your campaign website any or all contributions that your campaign has accepted. Disclosure can be based on any threshold amount you choose, and can be changed at any time.
